Hook

The dog curves its front paw around something and pulls it towards itself. This behaviour may be used to trip or try to trip another dog during a lateral attack.

The two female Rough Collies are facing off near a food bowl. The female on the left exhibits an agonistic pucker and moves her head away as the female on the right displays a lateral attack, grabbing the skin on the dog's neck and exhibiting a hook.
