Mugging

A dog approaches another dog rapidly, as if to attack it, with head and tail held high and and legs stiff rather than flexed. The movement may be at a full gallop and often begins with lurking.
(Rottenberg, 2000)

The American Staffordshire bitch is chasing the male Golden Retriever to steal her tennis ball: she is exhibiting a hard look, a wrinkled muzzle and bared teeth.

The black female German Shepherd grabs a tennis ball and returns towards her owner. The male Belgian Malinois chases her, exhibiting an agonistic pucker and attempting a shoulder slam. The Shepherd turns her head toward the adolescent dog and uses a stare to stop him. The Malinois cuts across her path, exhibiting an open mouth display, and she again stares at him. When the Malinois attempts to mug her, she drops the ball and then picks it up again. The adolescent dog makes a second attempt at mugging the Shepherd and, when he fails to capture the ball, stops in a frontal position, wrinkling his nose and flicking his tongue.
