Lowering the head

The dog lowers its head, keeping it parallel to the ground or lowering its muzzle as if to sniff the ground.

This Beagle-Harrier is approaching his owner with head lowered.

This puppy decided to approach a female Golden Retriever chewing on a bone. When the adult female growled, the puppy lowered his head.

This Airedale puppy running in the grass trots toward a young male Golden x Labrador cross. The male stands still in a frontal position and the puppy slows her approach, lowering her head and tail and then stopping. When the male approaches her, she raises her head in alarm, swerves to the side and runs away.
