Head up

The dog's head is held high or is raised. The dog may try to hold his eyes at the same level as or higher than those of his opponent, and thus may also rear up on his hind legs, resting his forelegs on something (for ex., a fence); in interactions with people, the dog may place his legs on the person (e.g., on the person's legs if they are seated, or on their chest if the person is standing).
(Capra, 2011)

Head up, the female Dogo Argentino approaches the puppy.

In this interaction between two males, the Kurzhaar rests his forelegs on the fencing, positioning his head above that of the Belgian Malinois.

The male Belgian Malinois sniffs the ground; when the young female Czech Wolf Dog approaches, he swerves aside and orients in a frontal stance. The female lies down in a frontal position, head resting on the ground, then raises her head up, sits and licks her muzzle. The male holds his head up, but the female Wolf Dog positions her head up higher than his, displacing him with a chest press; she then sniffs his anus-genital area, displays chin over and marking both with a shoulder rub and her anus-genital area; she then displays a jaw punch, and anus marking, then of the two it is the female who holds her head up. She hugs the male and jabs him with her paws, then hugs him, and displaces him. The male initially displays courtship behaviours, but then stiffens and raises his head. The female moves away at a run, then returns toward the male, leaping with her front legs wide open and displaying a hug, but this time in the wrestling match it is the male who holds his head up.

The sable male German Shepherd sniffs the anus-genital area of the tawny mixed breed. The German Shepherd raises his tail and holds head up, then takes a step forward, displacing the mixed-breed male, who raises his head up and backs away. The German Shepherd jabs the mixed breed with a paw, then bows with front legs spread wide open. The mixed-breed swerves to the side, approaches with a frontal stance, rears up on his hind legs, raising his head up to the same height as the German Shepherd's eyes. The Shepherd steps back slightly, then advances, and the mixed-breed male reacts by attempting a jaw punch, swerving backwards with his head up, then swerving again, maintaining a frontal stance. When the Shepherd attempts a rear approach, the mixed-breed turns and circles around him.
