Mobbing

Two or more dogs simultaneously chasing and biting, wrestling or pushing down a dog; two or more dogs chasing a third dog who is trying to get away from them.
(Goodman et al., 2002; Capra, 2011)

During play, two Golden Retriever puppies show mobbing of their sibling.

The female Czech Wolf Dog and the male Belgian Malinois display mobbing behaviour towards the Swiss White Shepherd bitch, who reacts by wrinkling her nose in a defensive threat display.

In this interaction between three females, the tricolour Australian Shepherd leaps out at the blue merle Rough Collie. The two first play-fight, then the Collie moves away and is chased by the Australian, who hugs her and displays mounting behaviour. The Collie reacts with a jaw punch and with a threat display, then runs away. The Australian Shepherd chases the Collie and, when she reaches her, first presses against her with her shoulder, then stops her by blocking her with a frontal stance. The two bitches again play-fight. A Dogo Argentino then joins the Australian in chasing the Collie. The Australian and Dogo bitches display mobbing behaviour towards the Collie, the Australian displaying lateral attacks, the Dogo pressing down on the Collie with her shoulder and chest. The Australian displays an inhibited bite to the back of the Collie's neck, mounting the dog's forequarters from a frontal poisition, and the Collie reacts with a defensive threat display and by seeking support from her owner.
