Roll over

In a roll over, the dog bends its front legs, rotating its shoulders and lowering its forequarters to the ground, rubbing its cheeks, neck and shoulders or rolling on its back over an object or an odour.

The female Airedale Terrier puppy rolls over on the ground. A young male Labrador Retriever approaches to sniff her and the puppy begins to exhibit play behaviours. When her owner moves away, the puppy follows her with her gaze, gets up, observes the female Staffordshire Bull Terrier approaching and shakes off. The Staffordshire sniffs the ground and moves away; the puppy sniffs the ground and then rubs her cheeks, neck and shoulders on the ground, then rolls over.
