Tail up wag
The tail is held vertically or arched, and is wagging stiffly, rather than with wide sweeping movements.

The male Golden Retriever overtakes the male Dachshund and approaches the Dachshund's owner at a trot. The Dachshund follows him and displays anus-genital olfactory exploration as the Retriever greets the person, wagging his lowered tail, then sniffs her legs. The Retriever lowers his head and moves away, followed by the Dachshund. The Retriever stops, turns and orients towards the Dachshund in a frontal stance, displaying a tail up wag. The Dachshund swerves, backs away and stops in a lateral stance near his owner. The Retriever approaches, glances at him, then displays anus-genital olfactory exploration and a tail-up wag, wagging his tail with more sweeping and less stiff movements. The Dachshund seeks support behind his owner and the Golden Retriever moves away to leave the interaction, followed for a few steps by the Dachshund.
